The International Card Services (ICS) Finance team provides strategic and financial decision support to enable accelerated growth across the ICS business.

The ICS COE LFO - Finance Analyst provides strategic and financial analysis to help develop the right products, lending capabilities, and customer treatments that grow our share of spend and lend in the marketplace.

The analyst will be responsible for activities, such as financial analysis of our existing cardmember base and detailed financial sizing of new card products, product refreshes, lending capabilities, or customer treatments.

The Finance Analyst will play a pivotal role that will support the International Consumer Lending leadership team as well as market business and finance teams with the goal of driving profitable lending growth.

This role has significant exposure to senior leaders across ICS and finance. The analyst should be a dynamic individual who has strong critical thinking, superior analytical skills, experienced in team management, and has the right ambition to inspire change.

The role will have a remit not limited to product finance but across ICS spanning Acquisition, Customer marketing, pricing, risk, and all products/segments running LFO duties for COE organization.

How will you make an impact in this role?

  • Provide consultative decision support on new product development, alternative lending constructs, product refresh, and business transformation projects to enable profitable lending growth in international markets.
  • Develop quantitative data analysis and provide recommendations to drive optimal decisions for the International Consumer Lending portfolio.
  • Manage non-card personal loans portfolio with a focus on scaling and expanding to new markets.
  • Inform pricing strategy decisions by providing thought leadership and ensuring consistency in business cases for repricing and other price changes across markets.
  • Build relationships with business partners, influencing decisions with sound logic & financial analysis.
  • Maintain acquisition vintage reporting to inform lending strategy across international markets.
  • Work closely with central lending, local markets and risk to enhance profitability at product & account level.
  • Create cost-benefit analyses for new lending capabilities and alternative lending constructs.
  • Build relationships across finance and business teams to facilitate decisions.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of data infrastructure to make financial decisioning seamless for stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong financial analysis skills including financial modelling from large amount of financial data, reporting, and problem solving
  • Self-starter with intellectual curiosity, initiative, and strong work ethic
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable interacting with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to time sensitive deadlines
  • Knowledge of card economics essential; familiarity with lending economics advantageous
  • Experience with TM1, IDN and/or Cornerstone and ability to work with complex data
  • Strong working proficiency of Excel, Word, PowerPoint required
  • Passionate focus on the customer; demonstrated desire to understand and solve for customer needs and difficulties while balancing P&L impacts.
  • Capacity to remain calm and flexible under pressure and deliver in tight deadlines
  • SQL experience not required but preferred and candidate is expected to learn quickly
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required
