Job Description

Salary: £29,616 per annum

Hours of work: Full time 37 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

A bit about us:

Every day, you'll build trusted relationships with families who need support to navigate challenges, strengthen relationships, and create safer, more stable futures for their children.

At Spurgeons, you won't just deliver a service - you'll see the difference you make, one family at a time.

Welcome to Spurgeons Wiltshire Family Hub, where families come first.
We support families and young people from early years through to young adulthood, offering one to one support, parenting programmes, and help to access vital services. Our work is rooted in compassion, fairness and commitment, and we are proud to make a lasting impact in the communities we serve.

All about the role:

This is a community based role working directly with families across North Wiltshire, in their homes, schools and local settings.
In this role, you will:
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with up to 20 families
  • Deliver one to one support and interventions that create lasting change
  • Work closely with schools, health professionals and community partners
  • Advocate for families and help them access the right support
  • Use your safeguarding knowledge to keep children and young people safe and thriving

You won't be expected to manage a full caseload immediately - we'll support you to build this over time.

This role involves regular travel across North Wiltshire.
In return, you'll have the autonomy to manage your diary and plan your time effectively to meet the needs of families.

We'd love to hear from you if you have experience working with children, young people or families. This could include:
  • Family support or early help
  • Youth work or community work
  • Schools, pastoral or teaching assistant roles
  • Support work or similar roles

You will:
  • Have a relevant Level 3 qualification
  • Understand safeguarding and early intervention
  • Be organised, resilient and able to manage a varied caseload
  • Build strong relationships with families and professionals
  • Be able to travel across North Wiltshire

If you don't meet every requirement but feel you would be a great fit, we would still encourage you to apply.

Why join Spurgeons?
  • Be part of a compassionate, values driven organisation
  • Receive regular supervision and support
  • Develop your skills and experience in a meaningful role
  • Make a genuine impact on children, young people and families
