Are you passionate about improving adult social care? As an External Workforce Officer, you will be a vital part of our External Workforce Team, dedicated to enhancing Nottinghamshire's independent adult social care sector. You will lead initiatives that focus on recruitment, retention, skills development, and career progression, helping to create a skilled and compassionate workforce that delivers high-quality, person-centred care.

In this role, you will:
  • Drive Workforce Development: Contribute to the delivery of key priorities in the system-wide workforce plan.
  • Support Strategic Initiatives: Collaborate with health and social care partners to implement workforce initiatives across the external care sector.
  • Project Management: Scope, plan, and manage projects effectively, ensuring timelines, resources, and risks are well-handled.
  • Monitor Quality: Oversee contracts and service agreements, ensuring provider performance meets quality standards.
  • Build Partnerships: Maintain effective relationships with service providers, people with lived experience, and health and social care partners.
  • Data Analysis: Use data and intelligence to monitor quality, risks, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide Guidance: Offer professional support and advice to colleagues, providers, and partners.

To succeed in this role, you should have:
  • A strong understanding of workforce challenges within adult social care.
  • Experience in planning and delivering projects within health or social care settings.
  • Proficiency in using management information systems to achieve outcomes.
  • A relevant qualification in health or social care (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).

  • Is proactive and organised, able to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Has excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrates strong analyticaland problem-solving abilities.
  • Can build effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
