Part-time permanent contract

Interview date: 28 October. The interview will include a tour of the Library prior to meeting the interview panel.

This role is not eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. The successful candidate(s) will have to ensure that they have the right to work in the UK or be able to secure this through another means without the sponsorship of the University. Do you enjoy working with people and providing a great customer service and environment? If so, we are looking for people like you to be a part of our Library team as an Evening Attendant. You will help us maintain a safe, secure and clean environment for Library users to work in by undertaking basic maintenance/cleaning and security duties as well as providing Reception Desk services handling basic information enquiries.

You will have:

• Ability to cope with the physical requirements of the role (working largely on foot, manual handling, see Job Description and Person Specification for full information)
• Experience of cleaning
• Good communication skills for customer care and teamworking
• Awareness of general and individual health and safety responsibilities at work
• Good general education to GCSE level standard or equivalent
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable (for example sharing tasks and swapping shifts if required)

Friday 18:50 - 00:05
Saturday 17:15 - 21:15 (x2)
Sunday 17:15 - 00:15

Usually, employees work two shifts each per week.
