Detailed job description and main responsibilities JOB SUMMARYThe role is to assist the Estates Managers in the effective management of the Trusts' many, varied and diverse buildings, ensuring the building fabric, structures and grounds are maintained to the highest standard. The post holder will also support the Capital Project Team and will contribute to the management of minor projects, upgrades and new developments as required.

Person specificationQualifications Essential criteria - Postgraduate diploma in Building Services/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Professional knowledge acquired through estate services management
Desirable criteria - Professional body membership or registration of Chartered Institute of Building
- AP or RP appointment
Experience Essential criteria - Management of in-house and contracted staff in NHS estates services
- Safe systems of work
- Experience across building and engineering trades
Desirable criteria - Contract management in NHS
- Project Management
Knowledge Essential criteria - Sound knowledge of all estates services and at least one specialised area
- Statutory, legislative and government requirements
Desirable criteria - Knowledge of Construction Design Management regulations (CDM)
Skills Essential criteria - Problem solve a range of complex issues
- Good computer skills
- Clear and skilled verbal and written attributes
