Qualifications

Essential criteria

• HR and Employment Law knowledge to degree level, acquired through training and experience
• Evidence of continued professional development (CPD)

Desirable criteria

• Educated to Degree Level or equivalent

Experience

Essential criteria

• Proven recent experience within a Human Resources advisory role, including advising on terms and conditions of employment.
• Understanding of key employment legislation - existing and prospective
• Practical experience supporting managers dealing with employee relations matters including disciplinary and grievance issues, and managing sickness absence

Desirable criteria

• Experience working in a healthcare/NHS environment
• Experience of working in a large complex organisation
• Contextual understanding of the NHS and how it operates
• Knowledge of Agenda for Change terms and conditions of service
• Policy and guidance development
• Delivering HR projects
• Knowledge of project management approaches
• Experience undertaking job evaluation
