Specialist Services
At Bexhill Hospital and Bexhill Health Centre, services include: maternity, paediatrics, heart failure clinics, dietetics, ophthalmic day surgery, macular degeneration follow-up, diabetic retinal screening and rehabilitation via the Irvine Unit.

Person specificationQualification & Registration Essential criteria - MBBS or equivalent
- Full GMC Registration with a licence to practice
Desirable criteria - Part A FRCA, MRCS, MRCP, MRCEM
- Educational qualification
Training and experience Essential criteria - Successful completion of Foundation Programme
Desirable criteria Administration Essential criteria - Excellent organisational & administrative skills
Audit & Research and Publications Essential criteria - Understanding of principles of medical audit
- Understanding of the role of research
Desirable criteria - Emerging track record of highquality publications in reputable journals and other appropriate media of a similar standing
- Experience of generating research or knowledge exchange income.
Personal skills & attributes Essential criteria - Effective communicator, able to work in a multi-disciplinary team
- Leadership qualities
- Excellent IT skills
- Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to work as part of a dynamic team that is committed to innovation and high standards
