We are recruiting a Domestic Assistant at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working hours: 21 hours
Contract Type: Permanent, Part Time
Location: Beatrice Webb Residential Home
Team: Provider Services

This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organisation.

We pay an attractive salary of £15,479.84 and offer access to training and development opportunities.Beatrice Webb Residential Home is looking for the right person to assist the Cook in planning, preparing and serving meals to the residents.

Experience of working in a care environment and knowledge of Food Safety Act, HACCP, COSHH and Health & Safety would be beneficial although not essential.

You must have knowledge of the principles that underpin quality person centred care. Working hours will include weekends and bank holidays on a rota pattern.

For the role, we ask that you have:

• Knowledge of principles that underpin quality care, eg dignity, choice, etc.
• The ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
• Experience of working as part of a team.
• The ability to work flexibly including weekends, bank holidays and sleep in duties.
