This Opportnity:

The mission of Palladim's KEA Partnership Climate and Environment Practiceis to spport governments, donors and the private sectorto deliver climate-resilient, natre-positive developmentthrogh policy and instittional reform, landscape- and jrisdiction-levelapproaches, mobilising private capital and large-scale delivery thatstrengthen forest governance, sstainable land se and climateresilience.

Palladim is seeking a Director, Climate and Environment to contine the growthof the bsiness by sccessflly secring and delivering a portfolio ofcontracts. Acting as a primary client-facing representative of the company, theindividal is expected to develop trsted relations with their clients bynderstanding their needs; addressing those needs in market leading proposals;and delivering services to meet their expectations. The post holder will beresponsible to ensre that the projects are delivered to client reqirementsand Palladim qality standards and against forecast with technical soltionsremaining at the forefront of indstry reqirements. The ideal candidate is a seasoned programme director with specificexperience leading FCDO fnded programmes inclding teams (4%), bt also hasthe demonstrated know how in shaping compelling offers to diversify winningbsiness with other donors, governments or private sector clients(6%).

Location:

The position will bebased in Palladim's London office. Please note thatapplicants mst have the right to work in the K, as visa sponsorship is notavailable for this role.

Palladim follows a hybrid working model, with three days in the officeand two days remote.

Reporting Lines:

The Director, Climate and Environment will report to the Practice Lead, Climate and Environment

This role will lead a corporate team of 6-7 individals + line reporting for team leaders for programmes where they serve as Programme Director

This role will liaise with Grop finance, strategy, bsiness development, and commnications as well as senior government officials, private sector clients and strategic partners

Primary Responsibilities:

Drive Bsiness Growth

Lead bsiness development and captre efforts, mobilizing teams and partners to win new contracts

Bild and strengthen client relationships, positioning Palladim as a trsted partner

Identify and prse new opportnities that drive sstainable portfolio growth

Assess client needs, market trends, and bid reqirements to inform strategy

Monitor bid performance and proactively address risks and challenges

Deliver ImpactflContracts

Oversee sccessfl contract delivery, ensring alignment with client expectations and company standards

Deliver projects on time, on bdget, and in line with financial targets

Provide technical leadership and qality assrance across the project portfolio

Serve as Project Director where reqired, ensring strong governance and reslts

Drive continos improvement initiatives to enhance project qality and performance

Collaborate across bsiness nits to deliver integrated client soltions

Raise Palladim'sProfile

Strengthen Palladim's market position to enhance contract opportnities and win rates

Lead targeted bsiness development and marketing initiatives in priority markets

Develop and promote thoght leadership that showcases Palladim's expertise

Bild trsted client relationships throgh networking, events, strategic engagements, and advisory spport

Collaborate across teams to advance intellectal property, service offerings, and delivery excellence

Essential Criteria:

Demonstrated programme leadership experience in climate, environment, forestry, land se or natral resorce governance

Demonstrated track record in forest governance, natre-based programmes, climate adaptation, or relevant area

Proven sccess winning work for FCDO and with other donors

Experience overseeing large, complex delivery portfolios with mltiple stakeholders

Core Skills:

Strategic, systems-level thinker with strong commercial jdgement

Able to commnicate complex climate and environmental isses clearly to technical and non-technical adience

Strong people leader committed to performance and accontability

Exceptional commnication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

Excellent written commnication skills with a strong focs on qality, accracy, and attention to detail

Desirable Criteria:

Experience working with climate adaptation and climate resilience

Existing relationships with DFIs, MDBs, climate and natre initiatives

Experience designing and delivering adaptation and resilience programmes, inclding locally led adaptation approaches
