We are recruiting a Direct Payments Accounting Technicianat Caerphilly County Borough Council.Working hours: 37 hours per week
Contract Type: Full Time, Fixed Term until 31/03/2028
Location: Working hours can be split between home and office depending on specific task requirements.
Team: Physical Disability, Sensory Impairment (PDSI)

Join our established Direct Payments team and play a key role in supporting people to live independently within their communities. This agile working position combines home, office and community-based working, including visits to service users, families and partner organisations.
You will oversee payments, financial monitoring, audits and budget management, while helping to review, develop and refine our financial processes and approach to Direct Payments.
If you have strong financial skills, excellent communication and a commitment to continuous improvement, we would love to hear from you.
For the role, we ask that you have: - An Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification (or equivalent), or a relevant Level 3 qualification
- An understanding of the purpose of financial codes.
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
- A Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business / work purposes to attend scheduled appointments and meetings.
