Job summaryThe Emergency Medicine directorate is looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and innovative Band 6 Sister/ Charge Nurse to join the senior team at Accident and Emergency, County Hospital. The Accident and Emergency department is a busy environment, and we have a workforce model focused on providing safe and effective patient care, and leadership and development of the nursing team.
If you are a quality driven person wishing to deliver a high-quality service to our patients and their families, have the ability to work well within a dynamic and busy environment and wish to assist in the management and leadership of our junior staff, this post is for you. You will be offered excellent training and support within this post
In this post you will be responsible for the initial assessment of patients and providing an effective care pathway and also taking charge of the unit managing the referrals, admissions and transfers of patients appropriately. We are committed to developing a culture in line with our values that improves quality and enhances the patient experience, and you will play a vital part in developing new ways of working to achieve this goal.
