Deputy Manager, Flitwick

Join MacIntyre as Deputy Manager at our supported living home in Flitwick, Bedfordshire. You will help lead a committed team and support six people with a learning disability to live lives that make sense to them.

This is a full-time role of 37.5 hours per week, worked flexibly across a 24-hour, seven-day rota. This includes weekends, bank holidays, participation in the local on-call rota and sleep-ins, paid at £70 per sleep-in.
About the role

Working closely with the Frontline Manager, you will help ensure the home runs safely and effectively while keeping the people we support at the heart of every decision.

You will:

• Help lead, motivate and develop a team of around 27 colleagues.
• Provide regular supervision, feedback, coaching and annual appraisals.
• Support personalised care based on each person's goals, choices and aspirations.
• Build positive relationships with families, colleagues and other professionals.
• Help plan and maintain staff rotas using Planday.
• Support quality assurance and preparation for internal and external inspections.

You will lead by example, promote MacIntyre's values and help create an environment where the people we support and your colleagues can thrive.
About the home

This is a lively and welcoming home supporting six people, where no two days are the same.

You might support Ryan* to attend college, help Luke* prepare for his volunteering role at a local café or join Sean* for one of his favourite karaoke nights. Helping people pursue their interests, build relationships and achieve their goals is central to life at the home.

About you

You may already be a Deputy Manager, or you could be an experienced Support Worker, Senior Support Worker or Team Leader ready to move into leadership.

You will be:

• Passionate about person-centred support and positive outcomes.

• A positive role model who leads with empathy and integrity.
• Confident in building relationships with people, families and professionals.
• Organised, proactive and comfortable taking responsibility.
• Ready to coach, develop and inspire others.
• A holder of a full UK driving licence.

Previous management experience is welcome, but we are equally interested in candidates who can demonstrate the potential and commitment to become a successful leader.
