Through your apprenticeship you will undertake a Level 6 integrated degree in Data Science, get exposure to both traditional and cutting edge statistical and computational methodologies as well as agile ways of working and important communication skills, whilst being supported by your manager and a buddy.

3 x Data Scientists:
As a Data Science apprentice, you will work closely with technical experts in our Data Science Practice to develop skills in formulating Data Science problems and then extracting, manipulating and visualizing data in order to answer complex questions. You will gain broad exposure to statistical analytics, Machine Learning and software engineering by being involved in a range of exciting end-to-end Data Science projects and participating in Communities of Interest across our Digital, Data and Technology groups.
You will also gain practical skills in data engineering, annotation, model training/validation, forecasting and anomaly detection whilst developing valuable domain knowledge on digital transformation in Land and Property registration.

To be successful in this apprenticeship, youll need to demonstrate your curiosity for uncovering hidden meaning within datasets, your enthusiasm for learning new skills and techniques for extracting insight from data, and your enthusiasm for telling engaging stories about problem solving with data.
You will need 3 A Levels or Equivalent (including at least one STEM subject) and also have at least 5 GCSE's at grade C or grade 4 or above including Maths, English and ICT or science or equivalent.
You will understand the commitment needed to complete the Level 6 Data Science professional standard apprenticeship and have a motivation for learning. You will have experience of solving problems using data and will be a competent user of computer software packages; including knowledge of MS Office and email. Through your ability to think ahead, you will be able to anticipate problems and have excellent problem-solving skills. You can work as part of a team to achieve a team goal and can organise and prioritise your own work and tasks. You have effective and easy to understand communication skills (written and verbal) in a variety of situations.

Due to Covid-19, the role will initially be home based so an induction and training will be carried out remotely, with full support from the team. Once safe to do so, your home office will be located in the vibrant waterfront city of Plymouth.Qualifications
