The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.

This role offers a valuable opportunity to develop expertise in data quality management and information governance, while gaining experience of working within a large and complex university environment undergoing significant digital transformation. Your contribution will help support the timely delivery of core services during a high-volume operational period.

About Us

You will be working as part of the Data, Projects and Reporting Service within the broader remit of Education Services. We are student-centred, and people-led; and we actively champion an inclusive and diverse community. Our team has a positive work culture where collaboration and teamwork are highly valued.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Maintaining student records and curriculum systems
  • Quality assurance checks
  • Data cleansing, validation and standardisation

In this role, you would be expected to improve/develop the following skills:

  • Data literacy
  • Gain experience of the impacts of significant system and business change
  • Teamwork and collaboration
  • Time management and working to deadlines
  • Business communication

Dates: Flexible between Monday 14 September - Friday 23 October 2026

Hours: Flexible around studies, up to 16 hours per week.

Times: Working hours are flexible between Mondays to Fridays within the hours of 8:45am-4:30pm

Person Specification

This role is only open to current enrolled Manchester Met Students who will be based in the UK for the duration of the role.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

Essential:

  • High degree of digital literacy
  • Experience with high volume accurate data input
  • Highly Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Proactive approach to managing workload to achieve agreed objectives
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • A commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
