Do you enjoy building strategic vendor partnerships that drive business growth?

Are you an experienced alliances professional who thrives on ownership, leadership and commercial outcomes?

Join our Alliances Team

Alliances operate at the centre of Softcat's vendor ecosystem. Bringing together vendors, sales, technical and commercial teams. We align direction, inform decisions, activate partnerships and optimise commercial return. Through governance and disciplined execution, we create scalable growth across the business.

Success. The Softcat Way.

It's an exciting time to be at Softcat, one of the UK's most successful technology solutions businesses. We help customers to use technology to succeed, by putting our employees first. We've reached the £1 billion+ pa revenue milestone, opened our first office outside the UK and picked up a series of industry awards. We've got even bigger plans for the future. So, if you share our drive and ambition, get ready to achieve more from your career.

Lead strategic vendor partnerships and alliances

The Cyber Security Senior Alliance Manager role blends ownership, oversight, and leadership, with a primary focus on the management and evolution of the silver vendor tier, as well as leadership and direction for a group of Alliance Managers. This role requires a proactive, self-starting individual who can identify what needs to be done, create momentum without waiting for direction, and take ownership through to outcome. You will act as a trusted deputy to the Alliances Lead, supporting strategic execution, leading complex vendor engagement, and ensuring the effective operation of the vendor ecosystem across your tech tower.

As Cyber Security Senior Alliance Manager, you'll be responsible for:
  • Owning the direction and performance of silver tier vendors within your aligned technology tower
  • Supporting the Alliances Lead with prioritisation, decision-making and execution of the tower strategy
  • Using vendor, market, pipeline and performance insight to identify opportunities and risks
  • Driving consistent execution of partnership activity across multiple vendors
  • Providing line management, coaching and best practice direction to Alliance Managers

We'd love you to have
  • 3-5 years' experience in alliances, partnerships, or vendor management
  • Strong commercial awareness including rebates, incentives and programme structures
  • Ability to manage multiple vendors and competing priorities simultaneously
  • Confidence leading challenging and senior stakeholder conversations
  • A collaborative leadership style with a passion for coaching and developing others

We also acknowledge that the confidence gap and imposter syndrome are a real thing and can get in the way of us meeting fantastic talent, so please don't hesitate to apply - we would love to hear from you!

Work in a way that works for you

We recognise that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too. In this role, we can offer the following flexible working patterns:
  • Hybrid working - 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home
  • Working flexible hours - flexing the times you start and finish during the day
  • Flexibility around school pick up and drop offs

Working with us

Wherever you work, we want you to experience the freedom and autonomy to realise your potential. You will feel supported by a team that celebrates individuality, encourages different perspectives, and embraces every background.
