Person specificationQUALIFICATIONS Essential criteria - Holds MRCP(UK) or an approved equivalent specialist qualification
- Holds full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
- Entry on the GMC Specialist register (or eligibility for entry within 6 months of date of advisory appointments committee) for Neurology by CCT or CESR
Desirable criteria - Provides evidence of active research participation, including peer reviewed publications.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE Essential criteria - Demonstrates clinical experience in neurology clinics and neurology ward management
- Experience in Headache Neurology
CLINICAL SKILLS Essential criteria - Demonstrates effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams across clinical and management settings.
- Demonstrates effective management of staff and resources to optimise service delivery
- Communicates effectively with GPs and other professionals across hospital and community settings.
KNOWLEDGE Essential criteria - Detailed knowledge of Neurology
- Demonstrates knowledge of multidisciplinary clinical audit and shows clear commitment to quality improvement in patient care
- Understands modern medical curricula and is committed to ongoing professional development
MANAGEMENT AND AUDIT SKILLS Essential criteria - Has experience and understanding of medical audit processes
- Demonstrates effective leadership skills
Desirable criteria - Demonstrates knowledge of methods to enhance efficiency and productivity within clinical workflows
TEACHING SKILLS Essential criteria - Demonstrates teaching experience in multiple settings,
ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT Desirable criteria - Provides evidence of research productivity, including authorship of peer reviewed research publications.
- Has delivered poster or oral presentations at conferences
PERSONAL CIRCUMSTANCES Essential criteria - Will live within 30 minutes of Whipps Cross Hospital
