Job summary

This is an additional post. It will attract 10 Programmed Activities (PAs) comprising 8.5 for Direct Clinical Care (inclusive of on-call) and 1.5 for Supporting Professional Activities (SPA).

A timetable is set out below. Anaesthetic weeks follow a two-weekly pattern of job planned activity providing a range of clinical activities to maintain skills. 2 prospective Critical Care weeks are worked per cycle (presently a 12-week cycle, subject to change with workforce fluctuation). Critical care activity displaces anaesthetic sessions on these weeks. Consultants within the department are expected to work with Anaesthesia Associates, supervising them in a 2:1 capacity, or 1:1 on a high turnover list or a list with higher ASA patients
