Person specificationQualifications Essential criteria - MRCPCH or equivalent
- Full GMC registration.
- On the GMC's Specialist Register OR within six months of CCT at time of scheduled interview.
Desirable criteria - Higher degree, eg MSc, MD, PhD in Paediatric
Experience Essential criteria - Able to demonstrate having achieved the competencies equivalent to the Highest Specialist Paediatric Training.
- Experience of working with children with developmental delay and disability
- Experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND)
- Experience working in NHS
- Valid Level 3 Safeguarding Training
- Valid BLS Training
Desirable criteria - Wider experience, research, and training, in providing subspecialty service (if applicable)
- Experience of adoption and fostering
- Experience of child protection medicals
- Experience of initial health assessments for LAC
- Experience of social communication pathway/autism
- Valid APLS and NLS
Knowledge Essential criteria - Willing to work unsupervised and make decisions
- Good communication skills, including communicating difficult news
- Good organisational skills
- Knowledge and clinical application of SEND agenda
- Meets the requirements of the GMC's 'Good Medical Practice'
Desirable criteria - Knowledge of risk management, annual job planning, appraisal review process, etc
