We're looking for a passionate and engaging Commnity Trainer to deliver inclsive and accessible learning opportnities that help adlts develop skills, improve confidence and wellbeing, and progress into frther learning, employment or greater involvement within their local commnities.

As part of Essex Conty Concil, ACL is the largest provider of adlt learning in Essex, spporting thosands of learners each year to gain skills, improve wellbeing and achieve positive otcomes. Many of or learners are taking their first steps back into learning and may face barriers to participation, so yo'll play a key role in creating welcoming, spportive and learner-centred experiences.

What yo'll be doing

Yo'll spport adlts across Essex to bild confidence, develop new skills and engage in learning throgh a broad range of commnity-based programmes.

Yo will:

Plan, deliver and assess high-qality commnity learning sessions tailored to learner needs and commnity priorities.

Deliver a range of entry-level and commnity learning programmes, inclding English, maths, digital skills, employability and wellbeing corses.

Embed English, maths and digital skills within learning programmes where appropriate.

Spport learners to develop confidence, wellbeing and progression throgh creative and flexible learning approaches.

Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners, inclding those with additional spport needs.

se assessment and learner reviews to monitor progress and celebrate learner achievement.

Work collaboratively with commnity partners to engage new learners and spport participation in learning opportnities.

Attend commnity events and otreach activities to promote ACL corses and engage with local residents.

Promote safegarding, Prevent, British Vales, eqality, diversity and inclsion in all delivery environments.

Collaborate with the Commnity Engagement Officer and Sector Lead to spport learner recritment, engagement and progression.

Contribte to crriclm planning, qality assrance and continos improvement activities.

Participate in continos professional development and reflective practice to maintain effective and crrent teaching skills.

Is passionate abot helping people bild confidence and develop new skills.

Has experience of delivering learning, training or spport to adlts in commnity, otreach or edcational settings.

nderstands the challenges some adlts face when accessing learning and can create spportive and inclsive environments.

Can bild positive relationships with learners, commnity grops and partner organisations.

Is confident engaging with local commnities and representing ACL at otreach and promotional events.

Has excellent organisational, commnication and relationship-bilding skills.

Is adaptable, approachable and learner-focsed.

Is committed to widening participation and helping people achieve positive otcomes throgh learning.

What yo'll bring

Essential

Holds, or is willing to work towards, a teaching qalification (AET, PTLLS or eqivalent).

Experience delivering learning, training, coaching or spport to adlts.

Strong nderstanding of inclsive and learner-centred teaching practice.

Ability to bild effective relationships with learners and commnity partners.

Excellent commnication and organisational skills.

Commitment to safegarding, eqality, diversity and inclsion.

Desirable

Experience delivering learning within commnity, otreach or partnership settings.

Experience delivering entry-level or first-step learning programmes.

Experience promoting services or engaging learners throgh commnity events and otreach activities.

Experience of learner assessment and progress monitoring.

Experience delivering family learning, wellbeing, employability, English, maths or digital skills programmes.

Experience working with commnity organisations, schools or volntary sector partners.

1-hor Micro Teach Presentation, in person, where yo'll have the opportnity to showcase yor teaching approach and sbject expertise. Sccessfl candidates will then progress to a 1-hor Competency and Behavioral-Based Interview, allowing s to learn more abot yor experience, skills, and how yo align with or vales and the reqirements of the role.
