Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Registered midwife on the NMC register
- Ability to undertaken further training
- Evidence of continued professional development to diploma level qualification
Desirable criteria
- D32/33 Teaching and clinical assessment (formally ENB 997/998)
- IT literate
Experience
Essential criteria
- 1 years clinical experience
- Evidence of continued professional development
- Demonstrate interest in developing midwifery practice.
Desirable criteria
- Experience of undertaking project work
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Essential criteria
- Able to carry out full range of midwifery practice including extended skills
- Work as part of a team
- Understanding of the new NHS and the opportunities it offers
- Effective and adaptable interpersonal and organisational skill
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of quality, audit, research
- Understanding of child protection issues
