Job title and organisation: Community Centres Development Manager - Health for All
Salary: £34,000 per annum
Hours: 35
Contract: Fixed term for three years
Location: South Leeds (Tenants Hall Enterprise Centre) with regular travel to other community centres and locations across Leeds
Closing Date and Time: Thursday 10th September 2026 at 12 noon

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

Health for All is seeking a Community Centres Development Manager to support communities across Leeds to secure, develop and sustain their local community centre.

This is a new, rewarding community-focused role working alongside both established centres and emerging groups to build capacity, resilience and long-term sustainability.

As a member of a new team comprising the Strategic Lead (HFA CEO) and Impact and Monitoring officer, you will play a key role in equipping local communities with the skills, confidence and capacity to ensure their local community centre is thriving, accessible, sustainable and responsive to the needs of local people.

You will be a valued member of the HFA Management Team, playing a key role in establishing a new Community Centres Network across Leeds, enabling the sharing of learning, tools and good practice

This is an opportunity to make a real difference to the future of community centres across Leeds.

You will help the Project demonstrate the vital role that community centres play in improving health and wellbeing, reducing social isolation, addressing poverty and strengthening local communities. You will contribute to local and national discussions demonstrating the value and impact of community centres.

We are looking for someone who has experience of working with community groups, voluntary organisations or similar with the ability to build strong relationships and engage diverse communities; experience of running, managing or developing local community facilities; a good understanding of community development, governance and funding and the ability to manage a varied workload in a practical and organised way with a commitment to community-led change and creating positive social impact. You will be an empathetic and approachable individual who can build trust, listen to community needs, and work collaboratively to achieve shared goals.
