Person specificationQualifications Essential criteria - NMC registered Nurse
- Professional qualification in sexual health (i.e BASHH, CoRSH)
- Evidence of recent professional development
Desirable criteria - Non-medical prescriber
- Teaching qualification
- STIF qualification
Experience Essential criteria - Experience in delivery community outreach
- Experience in sexual history taking
- Experience of managing/coordinating a team
- Experience in event planning
Desirable criteria - Mentorship Qualification or willing to undertake
Skills Essential criteria - Awareness of HR management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- In depth knowledge of the speciality
- Competent in IT (office 365, teams)
- Demonstrates motivational skills
- Able to work autonomously and within a team
- Able to apply the principles and assess individuals against Fraser guidelines when working with young people
- Trained and competent in clinical skills, such as POCT testing, venepuncture and vaccinations
- Can supply medication under a PGD
- Demonstrates flexibility and willingness to support the clinical team in times of staff shortages
- Able to manage difficult situations and holds skills to de-escalate conflict effectively.
- In depth knowledge of risk reduction strategies and can apply these in practice
- Able to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Able to apply the apply the principles of adult & children safeguarding when working with individuals in both community, virtually and clinically.
Desirable criteria - Counselling qualification
Key Attributes Essential criteria - As this is a community-based role, with travel between patient homes, there is a requirement to hold a full, valid, UK driving licence and have access to a car to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
