Job summaryThis is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, innovative and enthusiastic nurse to join our Colorectal Cancer team at Barts Healthcare Trust. You will primarily be based at Royal London and Newham Hospital and work closely with all Colorectal Cancer clinical nurse specialists within the Trust.
The post holder will play a pivotal role in the functioning of the Colorectal Cancer CNS service and be a key member of the team working to deliver a high quality patient experience.
The post-holder will be responsible for a patient caseload and provide expert advice, information and support for our patients. It is essential to possess the knowledge and skills necessary for the post. The post holder will run nurse led clinics to facilitate effective health care delivery on the cancer pathway.
We require someone who can work both autonomously and as part of a team.
Leadership, innovation, motivation and excellent communication skills are essential.
Main duties of the jobTo provide a specialist nursing service ensuring that patients referred to the Trust undergoing colorectal surgery receive the highest standard of clinical care and have access to a fully comprehensive support service. This will be achieved through clinical practice, management, education, research and audit and professional activities taking into account directorate, corporate, and national policy and within the clinical governance framework.
