Qualifications

Essential criteria

• Registered Nurse or AHP educated to degree level with Masters level Qualification in health related subject or equivalent experience

Desirable criteria

• Project Management Qualification
• Masters level leadership qualification

Knowledge

Essential criteria

• Demonstrate political, strategic and operational awareness

Desirable criteria

• Discharge management experience
• Bed/site management experience

Experience

Essential criteria

• Experience of being able to manage complex situations and developing solutions which result in positive outcomes
• Proven experience of and demonstrable achievement in managing health care services
• Evidence of planning and managing activity and demand including ensuring appropriate capacity in place
• Evidence of acute NHS experience
• Significant operational management experience within the NHS
• Evidence of managing transformation changes in complex environments
• Evidence of managing budgets
• Staff management across various specialities
• Managing complex communication across numerous stakeholders
• Evidence of producing papers and briefing documents
• Evidence of demonstrating improved service or patient outcome following implementation of service changes
• Experience of writing service-related documents and business cases
• Evidence of working with external partners to deliver improved patient outcomes

Desirable criteria

• Bed/site management experience
• Discharge management experience
