Person specificationQualifications Essential criteria - 1st Level Registration
- Experience within an acute trust within a medicine setting
- Completed or undertaking a first level degree in Nursing/ Health Studies
- Teaching qualification - accredited mentorship module/SSSA qualification
- Understanding of Quality Governance and its application
- Working knowledge of Trust and National Nursing initiatives
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
Desirable criteria - Evidence of previous teaching experience both informal and forma
Experience Essential criteria - Evidence of a high level of nursing practice - uses evidence based practice to support patient care delivery
- Credible clinical role model who is committed to improving standards and patient care
- Evidence of leadership qualities
- Demonstrates record of achievement in changing and developing practice
Desirable criteria - Leadership Course
- Band 6 or comparable experience to include completion of the senior band 5 competency pack
- Demonstration of autonomous practice
- Evidence of networking across professional boundaries
Skills Essential criteria - Excellent communication, liaison and interpersonal skills both written and verbal
- Evidence of being a Reflective Practitioner
- Highly motivated
- Work cross site as and when required
Communication Essential criteria - Demonstrate excellent written communication skills
- Effective listening skills
- Demonstrates a non-judgemental, holistic approach
