In this role, the Clinical Educator will lead the delivery of training and education programmes across the Critical Care service, supporting the development of a skilled and confident workforce.
Working closely with theClinical Education Team,Lead Nurses, andMatron, the post holder will contribute to achieving the educational objectives set by the Trust and Network. They will also help shape and implement educational strategies that support these goals.
The overarching aim of the role is to ensure staff are competently trained to meet the demands of their roles, enabling the delivery of safe, high-quality, and efficient care within a positive and supportive work environment.
The post holder will collaborate across a multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary workforce to share knowledge, align goals, and promote clinical excellence. A strong commitment to high standards, a clear educational vision, and the ability to work strategically within an educational budget are essential.
Main duties of the job- Deliver an effective educational strategy using a blend of teaching and learning techniques, enabling both educators and learners to create an optimal learning environment through the use of technology, high-quality content, efficient administration, and strong communication.
- Maintain high standards of nursing care, ensuring compliance with Trust policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Support staff in delivering holistic, person-centred care that recognises the individual needs of patients and their families.
- Utilise staff and resources effectively and efficiently, in line with Trust policies.
- Prioritise workload to manage competing demands and ensure timely, safe care delivery.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation, including written reports, handovers, and legal records, in accordance with professional and Trust standards.
- Contribute to the promotion of clinical governance through standard setting, implementation, and audit.
- Lead and support quality improvement initiatives that benefit patients, families, and staff.
- Confidently manage digital systems including e-rostering, SafeCare, Sunrise, and ICCA to support service delivery.
