Community Mental Health Team

Base: Kirkstone House, Murley Moss Business Park, Kendal

Mental Health Network

Band 3 - 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday hours 9am - 5pm

Fixed Term Contract to 31 December 2026

The Community Mental Health Team is looking for a Clinical Administrator to join our admin team on a fixed term basis supporting our Clinical Teams based at Kirkstone House, Kendal

We are inviting applications from individuals with excellent organisation skills, ability to work on your own or as a member of the wider admin team. The successful candidate will be able to communication with staff, servicer users, visitors and carers in a professional manner. The successful candidate must be computer literate, able to use Microsoft office packages and a good telephone manner.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide a comprehensive administration and information service to the Community Mental Health Team within the Mental Health Network, coordinating their activities with other members of the Business Administration Team to ensure an efficient and confidential service is provided.

The post holder will be aligned to a specific team and is required to work flexibly in response to the needs of the Networks Administrative service providing cover to departments on various sites as directed by their Deputy Admin Lead to ensure continuity of a quality service provision.

Be the first point of contact for the department.

Provide reception/switchboard cover when required at Garburn Outpatients

Answer telephones, taking and forwarding messages, ensuring that all telephone and personal callers receive a prompt, courteous, non-judgmental and well-informed response.

Respond to queries, dealing with routine matters and passing more complex queries to the appropriate member of staff.
