We are recruiting a Clerk at Caerphilly County Borough Council.Working hours: 0
Contract Type: Casual / Relief
Location: Working hours can be split between home and office depending on specific task requirements.
Team: School Improvement

This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organisation.

We pay an attractive salary of £14.83- £15.56and offer access to training and development opportunities.As a Governing Body Clerk, you will play a vital role in supporting school governance by attending meetings, providing procedural advice, ensuring statutory requirements are met, and producing accurate minutes that record key decisions and discussions.

Schools require clerks to support a minimum of six governing body meetings each year, with each meeting requiring approximately six hours of commitment and typically commencing between 3:30pm and 5:00pm. Additional opportunities may be available to support statutory committee meetings held during the school day, subject to your availability.

For the role, we ask that you have:
  • A relevant Level 2 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales. For example NVQ Level 2 in Administration.
  • Proven organisation skills and the ability to minute take to a high standard within prescribed timeframes.
  • Experience in customer service including face to face.
  • The ability to travel around the Borough in time to attend prescheduled meetings.
