Casual School Cleaner Johnston Community Primary SchoolJohnston Community Primary School is seeking to appoint a reliable, hardworking and enthusiastic Casual School Cleaner to join our dedicated site team.
As a Casual School Cleaner, you will play an important role in helping to provide a safe, clean and welcoming environment for our pupils, staff and visitors. Working as part of a team, you will undertake the cleaning of classrooms, offices, corridors, toilets, communal areas and other designated spaces across the school, following the school's cleaning schedules and procedures.
The successful candidate will be committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene and will take pride in ensuring that our learning environment remains clean, safe and well-presented at all times.
Duties will include:
- Cleaning classrooms, offices, corridors and communal areas.
- Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping and polishing floors.
- Cleaning and sanitising toilet facilities.
- Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately.
- Replenishing cleaning and hygiene supplies as required.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and health and safety.
- Following school cleaning schedules and procedures.
- Reporting any maintenance or health and safety concerns to the appropriate member of staff.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is dependable, punctual and trustworthy.
- Has a positive attitude and good attention to detail.
- Can work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
- Takes pride in maintaining high standards.
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Previous cleaning experience would be advantageous but is not essential, as training will be provided.
Additional Information
This is a casual position, and hours will be offered as required to cover staff absence and periods of increased need.
