Job summaryAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic
Paediatric Respiratory Specialist Nurse to join our dedicated team within the Paediatric Outpatient Department at
Glan Clwyd Hospital.
This specialist Band 7 role offers the chance to make a significant difference to the lives of children and young people living with asthma. The successful candidate will provide expert clinical assessment, education, treatment management and ongoing support to patients and their families, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care.
Working as part of a well-established multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate closely with paediatricians, respiratory specialists, nurses and allied health professionals to promote best practice, improve health outcomes and support children and families in managing asthma effectively.
This role is for
7.5 hours per week, making it an ideal opportunity for an experienced practitioner wishing to reduce their working hours, maintain specialist clinical practice, or further develop their expertise alongside other professional or personal commitments.

Main duties of the jobOwn workload as lead nurse for children with respiratory conditions and allergies and designated health care professional caseload holder for this client group in the community. Support and mentor student nurses when allocated for training.
As lead liaises in particular with the following:-
1. Tertiary centre (Alder Hey Children's hospital)
2. Paediatric Units at other District General hospitals
3. Paediatric nurses in Tertiary centre
4. Other Specialist Nurses across N Wales
Also maintains the link between Primary and Acute care, Social Services and Education.

Person Specification Qualifications and Knowledge Essential - Masters level qualification or equivalent level of experience / training/ short courses.
- Registered Nurse on NMC Register with recognised Children's Nursing qualification RN Child/RSCN
