Support Worker atour modern, well-equipped children's home and be partof our dedicatedteam who are passionate about helping children andyoung people to thrive.
We provide care for up to four children aged10-17 who may have experienced emotional trauma. Working within our Pillarsof Parenting model, you'll help each child build on theirstrengths, develop life skills, and achieve positive outcomes. With atrauma-informed approach, we aim to reunite children with their families orsupport their transition to independence.
Main duties of the job- Build positive, trauma-informed relationships with children, families and professionals to advocate for their needs.
- Provide high-quality physical and emotional care in a safe, supportive environment.
- Help children achieve progress in education, life skills and personal development.
- Contribute to care plans, maintain accurate records, and write reports for families and professionals.
- Ensure safety through risk assessments, safeguarding practices and compliance with policies.
- Engage in ongoing training and professional development to meet legislative and care standards.
What we're looking for:- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (orwillingness to complete with support).
- Understanding of child development, safeguardingand trauma-informed care.
- Team player with strong communication andinterpersonal skills.
- Emotionally resilient and physicallyable to meet the demands of the role.
- Able to use IT systems.
