Child Protection Coordinator

Job description

The Child Protection Co-ordinator is a key role within Monmouthshire's Safeguarding Unit, responsible for promoting safe, consistent and effective Child Protection practice across Children's Services. The postholder will support in the chairing of Child
Protection Conferences and strategy meetings, quality assure safeguarding processes and provide professional advice and challenge to support robust decision-making and effective risk management. Working closely with children, families, operational teams and partner agencies, the role ensures that safeguarding arrangements are child-centred, outcome-focused and compliant with statutory guidance, while also contributing to quality assurance, policy development, training and regional safeguarding activity.
