We are recruiting a Catering Assistant at Caerphilly County Borough Council.Working hours: 32.5 hours (8.00 - 15:00 Monday - Friday)
Working Weeks TTO: 39 Weeks
Contract Type: Full time, Term time only, Fixed term until 31st August 2027
Location: Ysgol Gyfun Cwm Rhymni
We pay an attractive salary of £14.59 per hour and offer access to training and development opportunities.We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Catering Assistant to join our team at Ysgol Gyfun Cwm Rhymni and support the operation of our on-site 6th form café.
The successful candidate will assist in producing and serving high-quality food and refreshments for pupils, staff, visitors and school events, while maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene, health and safety, and customer service.
The role also provides an exciting opportunity to work alongside school staff and pupils, contributing to their learning and development within a catering environment.
For the role, we ask that you have: - A Food Hygiene Certificate.
- Working knowledge of Food Hygiene Standards, Health and Safety legislation, Trading Standards, COSHH.
- Excellent time management skills to manage and complete all the relevant tasks to ensure food hygiene and Health and Safety compliance.
- Experience of providing food to a wide range of customers and clients in a busy catering environment.
