£5,959 to £8,61 per annm

The Opportnity

Essex Legal Services provide high qality, professional, legal advice across the Concil and to increasing nmbers of external clients. Providing a client facing legal service which proactively embraces change and delights the cstomer.

As a caseworker, yo will spport legally qalified and other colleages, in providing rotine admin and qasi legal tasks, aligned to the delivery of legal work in the Concil's legal highways and environment team. Working directly to lawyers and paralegals, yo will be commissioned to ndertake varios tasks sch as preparing bndles for pblic inqires, organising meetings and sending papers. Yo will provide advice to the Concil as the Commons Registration Athority, inclding in respect of Village Green and Common Land applications, and as the Highway Athority, inclding in respect of Section 5 application. Yo will contribte to delivering a more efficient, professional service that is valed by or cstomers and improves their bsiness.

Edcated to Level 3 or eqivalent, with significant work experience in a legal environment. With an ability to bild good working relationships both with colleages and clients, yo will deliver excellent cstomer service.

Accontabilities

Spports legally qalified colleages in the delivery of all aspects of rotine legal work across the Concil and to external cstomers.

Good nderstanding of client needs and provides them with a service they vale, which spports them in driving the delivery of prodctivity and efficiency improvements.

Spports colleages in the development of crrent and ftre bsiness opportnities, to promote the Essex Legal Services' vision to the external market.

Responsible for delivering personal objectives in spport of the fnction's overall bsiness plan.

Develops good working relationships across the Concil, schools, other local athorities and the private sector, to ensre a qality service is provided to the cstomer.

Specific individal and shared targets and objectives are defined annally within the performance management framework.

The Experience Yo Will Bring

Edcated to Level 3 (A level) or eqivalent by experience.

Evidence of contining professional development and developing knowledge in relevant professional area.

Experience of working within a legal setting in a pblic service or private sector environment, assisting in the provision of legal work.

Proven track record of excellent cstomer service skills.

Works collaboratively with colleages and the client base, to nderstand cstomer needs with a strong focs on delivering positive otcomes which meet these needs.

Ability to develop professional credibility with a client base at differing levels.

Ability to develop working relationships across a large, complex organisation and with internal and external partners/stakeholders and clients.
