We are recruiting a Case Worker at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working hours: 37
Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent
Location: Tredomen House
Team: Children with Disabilities Team

This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organisation.

We pay an attractive salary of £32,578 - £35,570 and offer access to training and development opportunities.

As a Case Worker within our Children with Disabilities Team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to children and their families.

You will build positive relationships, undertake reviews and provide thoughtful care management that promotes independence, dignity and the achievement of personal outcomes. Working collaboratively with families, colleagues and partner professionals, you will help ensure that care and support plans remain effective, responsive and up to date within statutory timescales. With supervision and support, you will manage your own practice and also play an important role in supervising family time between children and their parents.

For the role, we ask that you have:
  • A QCF Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults or Children) or a relevant Level 3 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales. For example, Level 3 NVQ Health and Social Care or be committed to achieving a QCF Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care within 2 years.
  • The ability to comply with policies and procedures and statutory regulations.
  • Experience of working with adults or children who have a physical disability and/or learning disability.
  • Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business / work purposes to travel throughout the borough to attend meetings, visit clients.
