About the roleAre you a skilled administrator with excellent communication, customer service, data management, and operations support? The Careers & Student Life Administrator will enable our talented and diverse student community to have an outstanding on-campus and international student experience through delivery of a high-quality, professional and responsive administrative service to the Careers and Student Life teams.
The Careers & Student Life team enables Imperial Business School students to have an outstanding student experience on-campus and overseas through engaging Imperial expertise, have ongoing career success, become strong leaders at Imperial and in their organisations, and have a positive impact on society.
What you would be doingThe Careers & Student Life Administrator is key in providing the best possible experience to our students, on campus and globally. You will provide flexible administrative support across both the Community and Global strands of Student Life, with your priorities and focus adapting throughout the academic year. You will also support the Careers team in the administration of the department.
As the first point of contact for the Careers and Student Life teams, you will support the planning and delivery of a diverse programme of events, activities and initiatives that enhance the student experience.
The postholder will be expected to work on evenings and weekends to support events.
What we are looking forWe are looking for a can-do candidate who has a multi-faceted administration background. You will have experience in:
- Working across a dynamic, fast-paced team environment and prioritising work
- Excellent organisational skills and event coordination
- Managing, analysing, and interpreting large volumes of data
- Communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships
- Providing a professional and welcoming service to students and colleagues
- Inbox management, including efficient responsiveness and escalation where needed
- Working with sensitive data in a GDPR-compliant manner
