Job description
We're looking for an organised and proactive Care Co‑ordinator to join our Care & Support team and help ensure residents and people who use our services receive high‑quality, reliable care and support.
In this role, you'll provide administrative and co‑ordination support across our Homecare and Extra Care services. Working closely with managers and frontline colleagues, you'll be responsible for creating and managing staff rotas, helping to ensure care and support is delivered at the right time and in line with residents' needs.
You'll also play an important role in supporting the day‑to‑day running of the service, responding to enquiries, maintaining accurate records, arranging meetings, supporting compliance activity and helping to deliver an efficient and customer‑focused service.
Your main place of work will be Newport, although you'll be required to work from other locations at times and attend training or meetings when required. You'll therefore need a full driving licence and access to a vehicle with business use insurance. Occasional work outside normal office hours may also be required.
We're looking for someone who is organised, customer‑focused and detail‑oriented, and enjoys coordinating services, supporting colleagues and helping to deliver excellent care services.
You'll bring: - Relevant experience: proven experience providing administrative support within a busy office or service environment
- Co‑ordination skills: experience effectively coordinating workloads, schedules, rotas or services
- Customer service skills: confidence dealing with enquiries and providing a professional, responsive service to customers and colleagues
- Administrative expertise: strong administration and IT skills, including diary management, rota planning, record keeping and minute taking
- Communication skills: good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships
- Organisation and prioritisation: the ability to manage competing demands, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Teamwork: the ability to work effectively as part of a team and support wider service objectives
- Qualifications: 4 GCSEs at Grade C/Level 4 or above (or equivalent), including Maths and English
Desirable: - Understanding of health and social care legislation
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Administration (or equivalent) or a relevant business qualification
