We are recruiting a Care Assistant at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working hours: 35 hours per week
Contract Type: Permanent, Part Time
Location: TY Clyd Residential Home
Team: Provider Services

Ty Clyd Residential Home is looking for a Care Assistant to provide care and support for older adults. You will be required to carry out duties to support residents in a dignified and respectful manner, promoting independence and wellbeing and adopt a person centred approach.

Experience of working with older people would be beneficial although not essential.

You must possess clear understanding of the sensitive and confidential nature of the post and be courteous and responsive to the needs of individuals.

Rota patterns of work are over a 7 day period. Approximate shift times are 7-2.30pm & 2.30-10pm. 5 x shifts

For the role, we ask that you have:

• A level 2 or 3 Qualification in Health and Social Care or have a willingness to achieve the qualification within a specified timeframe.
• The ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
• Knowledge of the principles that underpin quality care, e.g. dignity, choice, etc.
