Job overview

Buckinghamshire NHS Trust are keen to recruit an enthusiastic cardiac physiologist (Echocardiography) with a desire for progression and a passion for cardiology.

We are looking for a cardiac physiologist with a high level of experience and knowledge echocardiography. Ideal candidate has to have British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) full accreditation (Level 2) in transthoracic echocardiography or equivalent International accreditation (e.g. EACV.

Main duties of the job

1. 1- Deliver Specialist Echocardiography Services
   
   Independently perform and report high-quality echocardiographic investigations across inpatient, outpatient, urgent and specialist pathways.
   
   2- Provide Expert Clinical Advice
   
   Act as an autonomous practitioner, providing specialist interpretation of findings and supporting clinical decision-making across the Trust.
   
   3- Support Education and Workforce Development
   
   Train, mentor and assess physiologists, trainees and other healthcare professionals, promoting excellence in echocardiography practice.
   
   4- Lead Quality, Governance and Service Improvement
   
   Contribute to audit, quality assurance, BSE accreditation, clinical governance and the continuous improvement of echocardiography services.
   
   5- Support Service Development and Innovation
   
   Assist in the development of new pathways, technologies and advanced imaging techniques to ensure a modern, efficient and patient-centred service
