Job summaryWe are looking for a new team member to join our vibrant administration service in our South Hams Community Mental Health team, based at Leatside Surgery, Totnes.
This is a key administrative role supporting the delivery of high quality, patient-centred care through efficient and effective administrative support. As a Business Support Administrator, you will play an important part in ensuring the smooth running of administrative processes that underpin the work of the Community Mental Health Team.
Your responsibilities will include managing clinical correspondence, appointment scheduling, maintaining accurate patient records, and ensuring data is entered promptly and accurately into our clinical records system.
You will act as a first point of contact for administrative queries, liaising closely with clinical colleagues and other administrative staff to ensure seamless support for patients throughout their care pathway.

Main duties of the jobAdministrative Support:Provide administrativesupport to the Community Mental Health Team, including the preparation,processing, and distribution of clinical correspondence, appointmentco-ordination, and updating patient records.
Communication and Liaison:Act as akey contact for administrative queries, liaising with colleagues, externalproviders, and other stakeholders such as patients, carers and professionals toensure effective communication and co-ordination.
Process Improvement:Contributeto the review and improvement of administrative processes to enhance efficiencyand support high-quality service delivery.
Compliance andConfidentiality:Ensure all administrative practices comply with Trust policies,procedures, and data protection standards.

Person Specification Experience Essential - Experience of working in an administrative team with competing demands; Proven meeting management and minute taking skills; Ability to produce high quality, accurate work with attention to detail; Evidence of prioritising workloads and adapt to change when required; Experience of dealing with confidential and complex information.
Desirable - Previous experience of administration in a Healthcare or Social Care including GP practice or hospitals; knowledge or experience of Mental Health.
Qualifications Essential - Business Administration Level 3 / T Level qualification, or equivalent experience. GCSE English and maths or equivalent.
Desirable - Microsoft office qualification or equivalent, ie ICDL (International Computer Driving Licence) Typing, Word or Text Processing to Stage 2 (or equivalent).
