Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Burns Specialist Care for a motivated Band 6 Nurse with an interest in Burns Specialist Outreach Nursing. Previous acute experience as burns nurse would be desirable. You would be part of the Multidisciplinary Team to ensure our inpatients/outpatients receive the quality care that is essential to meet their holistic needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential to enable you to work effectively within a challenging environment.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be expected to facilitate teaching in the community in liaison with community / GP services to ensure continued high-quality patient care is maintained and working within the framework of Trust policies
Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and attending weekly MDT meetings to maintain the highest standards that will enhance the patients' experience and recovery.
Provide specialist burn care service to patients in community, be efficient in managing a patient caseload and able to support the patient's families, carers and friends.
