Job summary

Bank Band 6 Podiatrist (Temporary)

We are seeking motivated and experienced Band 6 Podiatrists to join our Bank team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work flexibly across our community podiatry services, providing high-quality care while gaining experience in a variety of clinical settings.

As a Bank Band 6 Podiatrist, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of podiatrists and other healthcare professionals to deliver safe, effective and patient-centred care. You will assess, treat and manage a diverse caseload, including community clinic and domiciliary patients, ensuring the highest standards of clinical practice.

You will support the development of the service by supervising and delegating work to junior clinicians, Podiatry Assistants and support staff, while also providing mentorship to students on clinical placements. Working alongside Highly Specialist Clinicians, you will recognise when specialist input is required and make appropriate referrals.

The role requires flexibility to work across different clinic locations and community settings, travelling between sites as needed. You should be an HCPC-registered Podiatrist with excellent communication, clinical decision-making and organisational skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding patient care.

Main duties of the job

  • To work in collaboration with a team of Podiatrists and other health care professionals, organisations and agencies to ensure seamless and high quality care for all patients.
  • To monitor supervise and delegate podiatry services delivered by support staff including junior clinicians, Podiatry Assistants and to mentor students during placements.
  • To liaise with and refer to the direction of Highly Specialist Clinicians when necessary and as appropriate.
  • To be flexible to cope with a busy varied and demanding workload where it is essential to move between sessional clinics on foot / by transport.
  • To manage a domiciliary caseload as required.
