Job summary

This post is open to someone with appropriate professional registration and with substantial experience working in forensic settings with adults with learning disabilities and or Autism to join the FIND Team within AWP Secure Services.

The post-holder will work closely with the Team Manager and Senior Practitioners to ensure that excellent professional nursing standards are consistently upheld across the team.

The Forensic Intellectual, Neuropsychiatric & Developmental Disorders (FIND) team sits within AWP Secure Services at Fromeside Hospital, and includes providing consultation to other services, completing access assessments where someone may require admission to secure, and providing CCO to those discharged from Secure up to 12 months post discharge.

Effective caseload management and clinical supervision will be supported by robust and efficient individual and team supervision processes, all within the overarching framework of Personal Wellbeing Plans, and maintaining CPA standards of which have been set nationally for Secure services

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will play a key role in leading the FIND Team to deliver a high-quality, safe and effective service for service users and carers. Working in close partnership with inpatient Secure Services, they will ensure that excellent professional nursing standards are consistently upheld across the team.

Given the team's wide geographical footprint, the post-holder will be responsible for developing and sustaining strong, collaborative working relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Clinical leadership Motivating, guiding and supporting staff to deliver high-quality care, ensuring effective communication and modelling best practice
  • Caseload management Holding an appropriately sized caseload of complex service users, providing clinical supervision to B6s within team
  • Quality and standards Ensuring compliance with professional, legal and Trust and National standards
