Person specificationQualifications/ training Essential criteria - NVQ Level 2 or above in Care with experience / knowledge of working with children with complex needs.
- Evidence of continued learning and development.
Experience Essential criteria - Previous experience of dealing with members of the public.
Desirable criteria - Previous experience of working with children and young people.
- Previous clerical experience.
Skills/knowledge Essential criteria - Demonstrate willingness to undertake a range of duties and to learn new tasks including clinical procedures where relevant.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the implications of carrying out work within another agency's environment.
- Demonstrate an understanding of Disability.
- Awareness of Safeguarding issues.
- Ability to recognise the importance communication within the Multi-diciplinary team.
- Demonstrate understanding of confidentiality and consequences of breaking confidentiality.
Personal qualities Essential criteria - Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Ability to demonstrate a commitment to team working and interagency working.
- Flexible approach to working with good interpersonal skills
- Able to relate to children and young people.
Other job requirements Essential criteria - Willing and able to undertake training appropriate to the role.
- Computer literate.
- Ability to travel to work and other locations as required.
Desirable criteria - Able to organise own work.
- Awareness of Health and Safety issues in the workplace.
