ASYE Social Work Lead (Adlts)

Fixed Term / Secondment, Part Time (18.5 to 1 hors per week)

£48,5 to £57,988 per annm (FTE)

Location: Chelmsford

Working Style: Fixed-base worker

This is a fixed term contract or secondment opportnity for p to 1 months.

Please note that this is a part-time opportnity. We welcome applications from candidates seeking between 18.5 and 1 hors per week, with working arrangements to be agreed with the sccessfl candidate. The advertised salary range will be pro rata'd based on the agreed nmber of working hors.

The Team

The Early Professional Development team spports all stdents and newly qalified social workers as they start their social work careers. The team also oversees all practice edcators, ensring that they maintain crrency and modelling high standards of practice.

The role will primarily be spporting the Adlts ASYE Programme and year spport, bt will also work alongside colleages in the team to oversee stdent placements and Practice Edcators.

Essex Social Care Academy (ESCA) is a bsy service, and the Social Work Leads in the team play a pivotal role in pholding social work standards and ensring those entering the profession do so with the best spport and preparation possible.

The Role

The development of a professional, knowledgeable and skilled workforce is central to achieving practice improvement and driving change. The Social Work Lead will coordinate the ASYE programme across or Adlt Social Care service, providing coaching and mentoring spport for both NQSW and more experienced Social Work staff.

This role is well sited to an experienced social work practitioner with experience in managing a complex caseload, providing expert spervision, bilding strong working relationships and a thorogh nderstanding of Adlt Social Care learning theories.

Responsibilities
  • Developing the ASYE programme, to ensre a high qality spport and professional development rote.
  • Contribte to the strategic development of the ASYE programme within Essex, the Eastern Region and on a national level and lead on delivery, aligning commissioning with Partner programmes.
  • Confidently design and deliver training and workshops, ensring effective facilitation and learner engagement.
  • Work closely with operational service managers to promote and spport the development of social workers, coaching across social care to think creatively and reflect on best practice.
  • Responsible for developing a Workforce Development strategy which spports staff in delivering high qality, cstomer-focsed services.
  • Develop and commission a range of blended learning and training opportnities, tailored to the individal needs of staff grops which spport excellence in practice and represents vale for money.
  • Contribte to bilding capacity for workforce planning, ensring effective developmental spport is available throgh a range of initiatives inclding training opportnities, career development and flexible career pathways.
  • Providing a sorce of expert advice and gidance for social workers.
  • Bilds strong effective working relationships across the Concil, with partners and members of volntary agencies to help people get the best start in life and age well.

  • Qalified Social Worker with crrent Social Work England registration
  • Qalified Practice Edcator with significant experience of spervising learners.
  • Evidence of contining professional development.
  • Significant experience of social work practice within Adlt Social Care, demonstrating a comprehensive and p to date nderstanding of all relevant legislation, reglation and gidance.
  • Experience of mentoring both Social Work stdents and newly qalified and experienced Social Work staff.
  • A sbject matter expert in professional social work practice.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with partners, other agencies and the local commnity.
  • In depth nderstanding of delivery of vale for money interventions balanced against need.
  • Proven track record of clear decision making in order to highlight and limit the potential risks associated with intervention.
  • Evidence of sccessfl delivery and development of workforce projects and initiatives.

  • The role reqires yo to be mobile throghot a wider operational area inclding travelling arond the conty of Essex and beyond, transporting service sers and their belongings and to be able to do so in an emergency. Driving licence and car or the ability to meet the mobility reqirements of the role throgh other means is essential.
