Job summaryBand 3 Assistant Patient Pathway Coordinator (CAT 9 - Rheumatology) This is a part-time post for 30 hours per week. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to join our Rheumatology Team to assist the Patient Pathway Manager and Patient Pathway Coordinators by carrying out delegated responsibilities for a range of operational activities, working autonomously using initiative and their specialist knowledge and experience of the service to make decision.
PLEASE NOTE: This is an on-site role and is not suitable for remote working. Main duties of the jobTo specialise in specific modality appointment bookings but have an overview and knowledge of all booking processes.
To ensure full compliance with scheduling guidelines, protocols and clinical targets whilst identifying and resolving breach situations and the consequences of changes to timetables and potential impact on capacity.

Job description Job responsibilitiesTo be the point of contact for all administrative issues relating to patients pathway of care.
To work as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide support in the proactive management of the patient pathway from referral to discharge, ensuring the entire pathway is managed smoothly.
To ensure high levels of patient and clinician satisfaction by being an accessible, customer-focused and knowledgeable point of contact.
To provide a consistent approach across the Trust; Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) will describe how the functions of the role will be carried out, along with the timescales to which are to be adhered.
