Cambridge Regional College have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Head of Department Construction & Building Services (English Maths and Inclusion). You will join us on a full-time basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary of £48,495.32 per annum, plus staff benefits.

About the role:

As our Assistant Head of Department for English Maths and Inclusion across both ourCambridge and Huntingdon Campus, you will support the Head of Department to provide high-quality management, leadership and guidance across the curriculum and to provide an excellent learning experience which ensures high achievement for all students, through exemplary practice in teaching, learning and assessment.

This role requires flexibility to travel between these locations as needed.

The purpose of the Assistant Head of Department role is to support the Head of Department by:

-Assisting the Head of Department in managing and developing the curriculum, including the management of staff and resources in the area.

-To improve outcomes for students by achieving and maintaining high standards of performance through tracking, monitoring and inspiring staff and students.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

• Extensive teaching experience in a Further Education setting.
• In-depth knowledge of the Further Education (FE) sector and the ability to demonstrate relevant industry skills.
• Current Health & Safety knowledge relevant to the role.
• Excellent interpersonal, administrative, and communication skills.
• Strong organisational abilities with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Teaching qualification such as DET, DTLLS, Cert ED, or PGCE.
