Apprentice Highways Trainee

Are you ready to kickstart your career in highways? As a Highways Trainee, you will work alongside experienced professionals to develop and deliver highway improvements that benefit our community. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn and grow while making a real difference!

In this role, you will:
  • Collect and analyse data to support transport strategies and projects.
  • Assist in the design and development of highway improvement schemes.
  • Support project delivery as part of a collaborative team.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of existing and proposed programmes.
  • Develop your skills through structured training and workplace learning.

To be successful in this role, you should have:
  • A minimum of five GCSEs at grades 9-4 (A*-C), including English and Maths, or equivalent qualifications.
  • A willingness to complete the Level 3 Transport Planning Technician Apprenticeship (24-36 months).
  • Basic knowledge of transport planning and highway design principles.

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written skills to present information clearly.
