AI Agent Engineer / Machine Learning EngineerSC Cleared | Remote | £465/day Inside IR35 | Initial 3-Month ContractWe're working with a leading software company specialising in Enterprise AI and digital transformation. Their AI platform enables organisations to securely connect, discover and utilise enterprise data to power AI-driven search, intelligent automation and regulatory compliance.They are looking for an SC Cleared AI Agent and Machine Learning Engineer to join their team from August, supporting the delivery of an exciting Central Government programme helping to develop intelligent AI agents and machine learning capabilities that solve real-world business challenges.Contract Details:Duration: Initial 3-month contract (likely extension)Location: Fully Remote (UK)Rate: £465 per dayIR35: Inside IR35Clearance: Active SC Clearance is essentialYou'll be responsible for:Designing and developing AI agents using modern LLM frameworksBuilding Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions using enterprise knowledge sourcesDeveloping and deploying Machine Learning models for intelligent decision-makingIntegrating AI services with enterprise APIs and data platformsEngineering prompts, tool calling and agent workflowsWorking with structured and unstructured data to improve AI performanceCollaborating with software engineers, data scientists and architects to deliver secure AI solutionsEnsuring solutions meet security, governance and compliance requirements expected within government environmentRequirementsActive SC Clearance (mandatory)Experience in AI Agent Engineering or Machine Learning Engineering.
