Or Social Workers work alongside people and their families and carers to help them think throgh what might help them get on with their lives in the way that works best for them. We do this within the framework of or stattory Care Act reqirements. This means many of or conversations are framed as 'assessments', 'reviews', 'spport planning' and 'safegarding'. Bt or aim is always to listen and nderstand what matters to the person and then to work with them to think throgh how this might be achieved.

The teams in Soth Essex are primarily based ot of or offices in Basildon. Soth Essex borders the nitary athority of Sothend and Thrrock and offers the opportnity to work with health partners within the area. In addition, the area also has good links to London. With a mix of rban and some rral/ semi-rral locations, the variety and scope of the work yo will be able to get involved in is hge.
